About us

Our story

Sixth Dimension is a family business where support and unity are at the heart of everything we do. My name is Marie, and this is my story. I have never studied fashion, I’ve actually just studied cinema for a year and dropped out. Since I was a kid, I’ve always been passionate about vintage and unique garments, finding joy in thrifting and discovering one-of-a-kind pieces. At 19, during COVID, I decided to turn my passion into a business. My sister and I started an online shop selling second hand clothes. While listening to ‘Wait a Minute’ by Willow Smith, the name of the shop came to mind: Sixth Dimension. We began by posting gems from my own wardrobe on Instagram and quickly grew. Soon we started thrifting around the city and expanded to Depop, with my parents helping with the logistics. Within a year, we became top sellers. I learned by doing-trying, failing, and improving, always with the unwavering support of my family. Step by step, I gained knowledge about fabrics, printing, sizing. Inspired by my love for fashion, art, and movies, I eventually began designing my own pieces. For me, Sixth Dimension became more than just clothing, it became an escape. A small universe where imagination comes first, where garments feel like they belong to another world. Through whimsical details and unusual silhouettes, I try to create pieces that feel like they belong to another world.
Today, we proudly have our own original designs and have built a wonderful community. We also collaborate with artists from around the world to bring imaginative pieces to life.

Sustainability

We are low waste! All our collections are limited series. We only produce a limited quantity to ensure that no stock is going to waste. We do not mass produce, most of our designs have only 80-100 every made! Our goal is to reduce our footprint with each collection by choosing the least harmful fabrics to the environment. Going fully sustainable is expensive (without mass production), which makes it challenging to maintain good prices for you, our customer! However, the more we grow as a brand, the closer we get to increase our sustainability. Our packaging is 100% eco-friendly, from the neck tags to the bags. All our pieces are designed by us in house and all fabrics are responsibly sourced from trusted manufacturing partners in China. We only work with partners that respect workers’ rights, including no child labour, no bonded labour, fair remuneration, safe working conditions and no discrimination.

Our collections are produced in collaboration with audited manufacturing partners. Select facilities we work with undergo internationally recognized social compliance audits including BSCI and SMETA (Sedex).
